CDC Durango Barley – Coming Spring 2026!

CDC Durango is a high-yielding two-row feed barley with short strong straw, nice plump kernels, and very good lodging resistance. This variety is the CDC Austenson replacement.

  • Yield is 106% of the check (Altorado)
  • Shorter and stronger straw and very good resistance to lodging
  • Moderately Resistant to Spotted Net Blotch
  • Moderately Resistant to Netted Net Blotch
  • Intermediate Resistant to Stem Rust
  • Intermediate Resistant to Fusarium Head Blight
  • Moderately Susceptible to Scald and Spotted Net Blotch
  • Maturity date similar to the CDC Austenson (Medium)
